If humanitarian conditions worsen, and they will if aid is not allowed in, the toll could reach 100,000.

All post-Nargis humanitarian work in Burma / Myanmar must at present be done by people who are already there in the country. Visas for nonAsian aid workers are going to be extraordinarily difficult to obtain. And local materials are going to have to do for now – importing materials for any development or humanitarian needs has long been a problem.
